Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using PrismaSub, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use PrismaSub on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If local law requires a higher age, that higher age applies. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Google account, device, and PrismaSub session and for activity conducted through your account.

You must provide accurate account information and promptly notify us at support@prismasub.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. The PrismaSub service

PrismaSub recognizes subtitle text inside an area you select on your screen and sends recognized text to a cloud service for translation. PrismaSub does not provide, host, or grant access to the underlying video or media. You are responsible for obtaining lawful access to any content you watch.

Features may be identified as beta, preview, or early access. They may change, contain errors, or be interrupted while we test and improve them. We may modify or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, performance, legal compliance, or product development.

4. Translation output

Translation is generated automatically and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, especially with stylized subtitles, names, slang, obscured text, or rapidly changing scenes. PrismaSub is a viewing aid, not a certified translation service. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, safety-critical, financial, or other high-stakes decisions.

5. Dialogue Credits

• Dialogue Credits are service-use units consumed when eligible subtitle lines are translated.
• Credit charges may vary by line length or processing tier as disclosed in the application.
• Promotional or welcome credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or refunded.
• Purchased credits have no cash value outside PrismaSub and cannot be transferred between accounts.
• Prices, pack sizes, and promotions may change for future purchases; completed purchases are not repriced.

We may correct a balance when there is a duplicate grant, failed payment, refund, chargeback, fraud, technical error, or other documented ledger discrepancy. We will not remove valid purchased credits without a legitimate reason.

6. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe and may be subject to Stripe's terms. You authorize the charge shown at Checkout. Taxes, currency conversion, and bank fees may apply depending on your location and payment method.

Credit-pack refund requests submitted within 30 calendar days are reviewed case by case. If approved, a fully unused pack receives a 100% refund; otherwise, the unused percentage is rounded down to the nearest 10-percentage-point refund tier. Purchases with more than 30% of their paid credits consumed are not eligible for a standard refund. The final amount is rounded to the nearest cent. Full rules and an example are in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits refund or cancellation rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use PrismaSub in violation of law, court order, contract, or another person's rights.
• Interfere with, overload, probe, bypass, or disrupt the service or its security controls.
• Share credentials, automate account creation, evade rate limits, or obtain credits fraudulently.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract non-public source code except where applicable law permits it.
• Use the service to distribute malware, harmful content, or unauthorized personal information.
• Resell or provide PrismaSub as a competing hosted service without written permission.

8. Content and intellectual property

You retain any rights you have in text you submit. You grant PrismaSub a limited right to process that text only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.

PrismaSub, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by PrismaSub or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use PrismaSub for its intended purpose.

9. Third-party services

PrismaSub relies on third-party services, including Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, DeepSeek, and Stripe. Their availability and separate terms may affect parts of the service. PrismaSub is not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using PrismaSub at any time. You may request account deletion by emailing support@prismasub.com. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, protect users, address unpaid or reversed transactions, comply with law, or investigate a material violation of these Terms.

When an account closes, promotional credits end. Any eligible refund of unused paid credits remains governed by the Refund Policy and applicable law.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrismaSub is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrismaSub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the service. PrismaSub's aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to PrismaSub during the 12 months before the claim or USD $25.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will revise the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires additional consent.

14. General

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the service. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy form the entire agreement concerning PrismaSub unless we agree otherwise in writing.
